Title: Which oil filter
Post by: Ratty on October 20, 2025, 00:38
Getting a lot of conflicting info from online and past threads on here regarding oil filters.
Have read on here that they discontinued our original filters.
The two main part numbers that keep coming up for current filters for our cars are;
90915-YZZJ2
90915-YZZM3

Is either fine or is there a preference?

Thanks 😊

Original has been superceded.

Never had a issue with any of the main filter manufacturers. Fram, mann etc

+1.  No point in paying more for OEM, - one of the filter companies is making it for them.
The 2zz filter is slightly larger in capacity. ADT 32112 is an example.

More importantly is regular oil and filter changes - good synthetic and good make of filter.

That simple.

Oil is cheap. Engines are not.

If there's a washer on it all that's needed is a few seconds rubbing on concrete or similar to get rid of any high-spots.
