Title: 2003 MR2 subframe replacement - specialist recommendations?
Post by: MR22003 on June 16, 2026, 13:36
Hi

I have a 2003 MR2 with substantial rust on the subframe and two suspension arms. Could anyone recommend a good individual/garage that could replace the subframe and two suspension arms, and clear off the more superficial rust? Ideally in Southeast or Northeast (Yorkshire) England areas. Thank you!

Hello and welcome.

Cannot help you on your specific question as not around your area.

That said, any competent mechanic should be able to do this. It is nuts bolts remove and refit job.

2 variations of sub frame.
Is your car an fl or pfl?
If pfl, you can use either.
If fl you will need an fl sub.

Midlands and East Coast Roadsters.  They know what they're doing and have parts in stock and they are very reasonably priced.

Find them on FB.
