Title: Removal of Door Mirror
Post by: Anonymous on June 25, 2005, 18:24
Can anybody tell me the correct way to completely remove the drivers door mirror? I have taken off the door trim (5 minute job, just a few screws and the whole thing lifts off) and lowered the window and I can see 2 threaded bolts with nuts on them sticking through from the mirror housing and what looks like another screw head below them.

I've searched both here and Spyderchat and found nothing. Perhaps its a job for Mr T? Does the whole of the window mechanism and inner door have to come off?

It's just those 2 bolts that you can see and disconnect the wiring loom.

You can get at them by winding the window up and removing the yellow plastic sheet to reach up from underneath.

If you wind the window down you can get at them easily
