So my car finally succumbed to the blocked drain hole problem after last night's storms. Only noticed it between songs as I was cornering.
Had a look at work today and drivers side is fine, passenger side had water held over the drainage hole and fortunately very little in the rear cabins. Quick poke with a bicycle brake cable later, and it all drained out (nearly onto my foot s:lol:  s:lol: ).
Anyway, getting to the point, gave it a check over when I got home, and noticed that down by the drainage holes there is part of the softtop with velcro on the back of it and a small strap with poppers on the end. These poppers weren't together and I'm assuming that they should have been wrapped around something but don't know what.
I'm assuming these are not the ear poppers/straps? The ones that are visible through the back window with the roof up are connected fine, these are right down by the drain plugs. Does anyone know and/or have any diagrams/instructions on where this piece of velcro'd material needs to go (couldn't find any other bit for the velcro to attach to) and what part the poppers go round? I noticed that on the passenger side, the material was actually covering the drainage hole unless I moved it out of the way.
Hopefully that's clear enough and someone can help s:) :) s:)
I had that issue, but got it fixed under warranty, so don't know the details. Search might come up with more than I remember right now.
Anyway, they aren'nt the ear poppers and they can indeed block the upper part of the drainage vents if they are open. Fix them before you get flooded bigtime s;) ;) s;)
