Title: OBD reading
Post by: spynish on July 27, 2005, 22:55
Hi guys,

Since I still don't have an OBD reader, has anyone tried to read the CEL codes like this:

http://www.c2power.com/node/213    s:?: :?: s:?:

I have tried to but when connecting pin 4 and 13 I just see the ABS light blinking...  s:roll:  s:roll:

Any idea? Are these pins the same than in the Celica?

Thanx

The port WILL be the same as the Celica as OBD-II is an industry standard so they have to be the same. As for the pins, have you made sure the connector is oriented the same way up as in the picture C2 provide - you may be bridging the wrong pins as you are upside down if you see what I mean?

Also for the sake of a few Euro's get one of those cheap eBay scan tools, they work really well.
