Hi Everyone,
This is my first post, although i think i must have spent many a lunctime hour reading through the posts on here.
I have just picked up my '2 on Saturday its a 04, astral black and having the dual exhausts and air con fitted today as part of the deal. So I'm like a kid waiting for christmas at the moment.
One question i have is, i have just setup a new insurance policy with Adrian Flux which was by far the cheapest quote i got. Although they have asked me to send a photocopy of my immobiliser certificate and type and make to them within 14 days. Trouble is i never got an immobiliser certificate with mine.
Does any one know what type and make the immobiliser is and what category they are?.
Thanks in advance.
Mike
I'm with Adrian Flux and they were more than happy to be told it was the normal factory fitted equipment. Suggest you try that first, and IMO you can't really get better than that.
Maybe in your application you somehow seemed to intimate that it was not.
If they start getting arsey about and you can't find what they want (try the handbook), suggest that since its factory fitted, they will have the information on all the other MR2 roadsters they have on their books s:wink:  s:wink:
Thanks for replying so quick.
I did say to them ono the phone that i had immobiliser and it was factory fitted, although the guy said i will have to send a photocopy of the certificate.
Although when i recieved my insurance cover note and agreement they just ask for me to sign a immobiliser declaration which basically asks for the make and type of the immobiliser.
I will check out my handbook to see if i can find this out, but when i checked last night i could not find any information on it.
Is your car an import? That could be why they ask...
No just a standard UK 04.

Exactly the same with me as well with Flux; just told them it was factory fit. I never got a cert when I bought my 2 new s:? :? s:?
