Title: Engine Bonnet

Hi guys, my first post, just brought a mr2 in silver..

nice car, just that when i pull the lever for the engine bonnet it doesnt pop up.. i keep pulling it and it stays down and only way to open is to pull on the grills. any1 else had that problem?

you could try greasing the release thingy (bonnet catch). I had this on my last 2 occasionaly.

With the bonnet up can you see the release moving when you pull the tag?

Another way is to raise the rubber boots a bit. They are actually screws that are used to adjust the height of the lid. Raise them a bit and it should pop open when you pull the lever  s8) 8) s8)

Thats a cracking tip Tem!! I have had this problem for a while now, but I didn't want to post about it cos I thought it was a bit trivial.........  s:oops: :oops: s:oops:   Glad someone got there before me! Spray with Chain lube. It sets on contact and seems to last longer
