Strange - it should just clip in nicely before you screw it down. The top clips on the side are sometimes a bit tight but will click in place with a firm even push if there is nothing in the way....but don't force it if you think something is in the way!

I can think of one possible source of snagging to check - The light feed to your fan slider is via a small piece of shaped perspex that sits between the forks of the lever (the front edge of which sticks through your knob  s:shock:  s:shock: ).

Check that this isn't dangling & getting in the way (the perspex that is, not yer knob  s:wink:  s:wink:  ).

I found the fan slider got in the way a bit, there's a little white clip on it than can get damaged if you're not careful. I think you have to make sure this is 100% pushed on.

(If I remember rightly!)

I had the same problem last week. It was the plastic dangling from the slider. Make sure it is flush and horizontal with the lever and it has clicked into place.
