Title: Power
Post by: Anonymous on September 4, 2005, 20:30
Just been searching and reading up on a few things and ive been reading about the 2ZZ engine.
Has anyone converted to one or is it easier just to turbo a MR2?
Im at a crossroads between the engine conversion or a turbo kit

If you've got all the bits, then they should both take you about the same amount of time IIRC, but you'll find it's nigh-on impossible to get insured on an engine swap nowadays...   s:( :( s:(

Spyderchat has covered the 2zz engine swap in several threads - worth a look there to see whats involved.

True, although its still worth having a chat with the Underwriters about the criteria they use.....mine are cool about any mods - which includes engine swap - but only so long as I don't increase the displacement.
