Title: Alloy wheels cracking up
Post by: Anonymous on September 10, 2005, 09:40
I have a MR2 red 2004 and i have noticed that two of the wheels have the alloy cracking up on them the metal is bubbling up as if it has rust underneath.I cannot believe that this is normal for a car that is only 14 months old.Has anyone else had an issue with this??????
What do you think MR T would say ref the warranty????  s:?: :?: s:?:    s:?: :?: s:?:

If you're still under warranty you shouldn't have any problems getting them switched.  I had all four of mine done just before my warranty ran out.  The dealer didn't even bother to look at them, just did it when requested.

That said the new ones are just as poor as the previous ones and are now bubbled nicely.  No warranty now though.

You've done well to get 14 months out of them..  s8) 8) s8)

Had 4 more new alloys replaced under warranty on Friday, and the finish looks the same sh*t as the last 2 wheel replacements...  s:evil:  s:evil:
