I had this problem to a degree with the passenger side seat belt, but now my new one has the same problem on the drivers side. Basically the belt doesnt go back into the housing unless you help it.
Ive read somewhere that it can become twisted, but I dont think this has happened to mine.
Anyone care to shed any light ?
I have this problem on the rear seat of my other car. I usually find giving the "winding up" box a clout and yanking at the belt at the same time sorts out the problem, at least temporarily.
I assume there is something amiss inside it, so other than getting a new one to finally cure the problem the only other option, which I don't fancy is taking it apart.
Since its a rear one TBH not too bothered, so I leave it. Its gets sorted by the garage once a year for the MOT!
