Anyone familiar with these or other similar filters? They claim up to 10 years for the same filter...I'm not sure if I'd be confident with that, but I'd be happy if it works as good as OEM filter for a year with oil changes every 3 months.
got them on the planes at work in the hydraulic systems. Put it this way, we change them every 5-6months as they start to break down after that. I know that hydraulic oil is far harsher an oil but surely leaving a filter in for 100,000 miles is not good, even if you do clean it. I will agree that they do trap particular matter better with little effect on flow rate, its just the length of life that they're saying seems a bit excessive for a filter IMHO

Like I said...I would only be using these for a year anyway, not 10 years s:shock:  s:shock: Which means roughly 5-10t miles. You think it would be good for that?

Glad I didn't visit that site at work.. We have these little Dell Optiplex 'Ultra Small Form Factor' machines - but they have an internal speaker hooked up to the on board sound card.. Hugely annoying during the XP install process! (Thank goodness plugging headphones in shuts it up)
