Title: Going to clean MAF

i'm going to clean my MAF Sensor, what types of stuff can i use?

Is WD40 usable??

Don't know about WD40, guessing not.

Plenty of posts, enter MAF AND clean in search.

A non-residue carb cleaner is the type of thing you want.

Don't use too much of the dirt fluid - I've heard that stuff is great for coating the MAF and screwing it up when you go mad with putting it on the filter..

dont use WD40, its basically a water displacement fluid or a light penetrating oil, your looking for a aerosol cleaner that leaves no residues behind

wynns carb cleaner as Heath said, or electrical contact cleaner which i also buy from halfords

i use STP carb cleaner. works like a champ and leaves no residue. if you wanna know if you can use it or not, spray it on your car window. if it leaves a trace of being there, dont use it.

Good tip there to work out if a residue will be left and cause an issue on the MAF  s:wink: :wink: s:wink:
