Has anyone else had experience of buying a second-hand hardtop and getting it resprayed?
I was due to pick mine up tonight but the bodyshop have just called and said they cant spray it properly because of the seals(?).. so it may have to be left as its original colour (green) on the inside. I know i'll not see the green bits on the inside when the top is on, but its still gonna look a bit naff when its off..
Also they say they can't take the rear window out of it....
Has anyone else had this problem? Or anyone know of a solution?

I've had two resprayed. You don't need the back window out beacuse you can tape around the lip.
All the seals are removable and should be taken off for a decent spray job. They all just pull off and are held on with pressure.
Just a question but how much did the fitting kit for the hard top set you back if you don't mind me asking?

The fitting kit was £180 including vat. The parts guy at my local dealership was shocked at what you got for your money.. a couple of chrome fittings, 2 striker plates and a few bolts.. its so expensive but well worth it in my opinion.
I didn't buy the new panels with the cut-outs either... I found a man with a steady hand and a Dremel to cut the existing panels, so that made it cheaper.
