AND

Is their new system that allows engine management updating from a PDA for real techies, and expensive, or meant for people like me!

AND

I noticed their mapping for a Spyder shows BHP gains of between 5 and 7, whereas Millways seem to be getting 12+.

So anybody who bought the premapped chip need to get to Millways!!!  s:wink:  s:wink:

Thanks for the eyes up, Stu

The only info I can find on the Flux indicates that it's already won an award at the SEMA show in the 'States. Other than that, Google turns up blank.

i've tried a few more and came up with the same SEMA bit and nowt more, e-mails are sent to Dastek worldwide and US, so watch this space. Looks like they may be trying to compete with the e-manage, about time if they are

Unless they can find a way to do more with the Unichip (i.e. control injector duty), then I can't see it ever competing with the e-Manage, and especially not now the e-Manage Ultimate is out.

Still, I eagerly await the announcement (although probably not as much as the people who actually have a Unichip!).

sounds lioke it could be interesting...   s:D :D s:D

Being a pre-mapped boy, it looks like i may be missing some horses then... I'll have to finally decide on an induction kit/method and get down to millway for some proper mapping then...  s:wink:  s:wink:

i've just received this from unichip.us

QuoteStuart,

The Flux PDA Power Display will be released in January; Unichip kits sold prior to that date will need firm ware updates and will not comply with the Flux. If you would like the New Unichip you may trade in your old Unichip or sell it and purchase the new Unichip Q version. Stay tuned for Flux updates on the Unichip web site.

Best regards

right the update is that these will not be available till next year and any GB unichips will not be able to be traded in in the UK as they are different to the US ones apparently  s:roll:  s:roll:  not that i beleive that for a second. Gerry or Paul at Dastek are going to send more details through as they become available but at the moment they have very little as the marketing isn't even starting till febuary time next year

I thought they were the US ones, or do you mean the UK don't want US ones?

If thats the case might be worth a question to US when its gets nearer the time. Don't really see what difference it makes, Millways didn't comment.

And if they are trade ins, would they resell them anyway?

All very hypothetical at this satge, of course.

Sorry Roger, Yes i mean the UK dont want the US ones

but the US are happy to do a trade-in-GB for the new units anyway, anyone interested needs to wait for a few months anyway so its all theoretical at the mo. Pass on what they'd do with the returned ones, they did talk about firmware updates but i think that was physical updates rather than software
