Title: Amuse R1 Titan Exhaust
Post by: Anonymous on December 7, 2005, 08:29
Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience of this exhaust yet?

http://www.amuseusa.com/Default.aspx?ID=15

I seems incredibly light and pretty good value too (JapanParts £494).

The main concern that I have is it seems to exit on the right? and only the Titan Extra exits on the left, but it's heavier.

Am I reading this correctly and will the right exit one fit ok?

I sold one to a customer

(1300 Euros inc. VAT and shipping)

It's nice and all.

Wouldn't put that price personally in an exhaust, especially with a single exit.

The undertray is designed for a single left exhaust; when I had the custom turbo exhaust (single right exit) I just left the under-tray off. I'm not sure what the (many) dual exhaust owners do - whether their systems either fit or whether they cut the tray to fit.

When Toyota fit the TTE they have to slice a section out of the undertray (it's a pig to get on & off with the exhaust there, though, as one bolt is directly above the offside exit).

Personally, I didn't bother putting mine back on after the last time I took it off..

If I was going to spend that much on an exhaust and I wanted light weight i'd choose Techno Pro Spirit's Titanium back box.

If you have a rear lip/bumper or are planning to get one, most are cut for left side exit pipes...you can cut the right side too, like most with duals do, but might look a bit odd.
