Title: Headlamp adjustment
Post by: Anonymous on December 21, 2005, 12:38
How do you adjust the headlamp height?  I've removed the liner and got to the back of the lights.  There are two 8mm bolts with toothed wheels under them - are these the adjusters and if so which way do they turn

Yes. The other controls the horizontal movements and the other vertical. You should see which way they turn when you adjust the lights, I don't recall it...

The uppermost one is the adjuster for up/down, the lower one is for left/right.

I adjusted mine up a bit (about three quarters of a turn in total) as I felt the standard setting was pants. They are much better now, visibility is much further up the road, and I've had no problems with "blinding" cars in front or oncoming traffic   s:) :) s:)

Sorry, I can't 100% remember whether it is anticlockwise or clockwise to go up/down.....but it is pretty obvious once you start! Just count the turns so you can set it back at MOT time.....  s:wink:  s:wink:

Thanks for the answers especially the pdf.  Very much quicker with a posidrive screwdriver into the teeth - I was using a socket + mini-ratchet.
