When i turn the key to start it i get nothing so i changed the starter thinking it was a solenoid problem. still got the same problem checked the starter relay and thats ok. It's driving me mad can any one help. when i turn the key to start it the digital clock on my dashboard fades out if thats any help. nah tried that. but thanks
Mark - is this an import MR-S manual? If so, the car has a safety feature which means it will only start while you have the clutch fully depressed.
Try to start it without your foot on the clutch and you get the clock-dimming features and a click that you've described but no turnover.
Forgive me if you've already thought of this and covered it, but if it aint the problem I hope its something equally simple. s:wink:  s:wink:
Let us know how you get on.

I hope you were wearing safety goggles! s:shock:  s:shock:
I spent a fantastic
half hour watching my neighbour and his 2 teenage sons trying to fit new windscreen wipers this morning. Dad tried for 10 minutes with no success, then son number 1 had a go.....no joy, but son number 2 came to the rescue (after about 10 minutes of faffing!).
Funniest thing was Dad insisted on all of them wearing the safety goggles when attempting the dangerous task of fitting the wipers!! s:roll:  s:roll:
Amused me no end whilst eating my frosties and having a cuppa. s:D :D s:D

Classic mistake made by so many s:lol:  s:lol: They remove the old ones without taking any real interest and then its too late when they can't figure out how to fit the new babies s:lol:  s:lol:
