My other halfs mother is looking @ getting a Pioneer DVD player from China (the one with everything built in DVD,MP3 etc)

Do they work in this country as im not sure - well to be honest i doubt they will, so just seeing if anyone knows

shoudl be ok, with the exception fo teh radio

I don't know what FM bands they use over there.

As long as it is enabled for multiregion (and coming from China it certainly will be) then it should be fine. I'm not sure on the output standard (PAL / NTSC etc.) but nearly all modern TV's will display any of those with no trouble.
