Title: Getting The 2 Serviced?
Post by: Anonymous on February 9, 2006, 12:30
Hello people,

My car has done 48k miles on it and i'm not sure what kind of services it has had in the past, I know it has had them but not sure what was done on each occasion, my MOT is up in April so next month I'm putting it in to get the works done along with the MOT, as I have said before my brother is a mechanic so I only pay for the parts, the question I am asking is what should I get replaced etc?

I'm needing new brake pads so where is the best and cheapest place to get these?

As much info as you can give me please so I can start pricing up the parts.

Thanks very much.

Putting the car in for service then end of this month, I'm buying all the parts I will need before it goes in so I can get them at cost price.  I don't know what kind of service it has had in the past so what should I be looking to replace:

Brake Pads Need Replaced
Oil Filter
Sparkplugs
Air Filter

Anything else?????

I'm going to get the brake fluid replaced as well when getting the new pads fitted, I think the garage will supply brake fluid and engine oil for me.

You think of any other parts I might need?

mine said they would, but it would have to be done as a job done by Abbey Citreon and not Abbey Toyota, who cares really, same company and one i'd trust
