Re: willtheyfit.com
I meant the web site doesn't seem to describe wheel arch clearance.

Oem or toyo gasket at manifold?
Manifold gasket OE style steel ditched the toyo one.

Life took him a different direction, he also liked his two wheel modes of transport.

Maintenance, Problems & Troubleshooting / P420

Fitted a new cat and toyosport manifold at the end of last season. Cleaned the MAF and put in a new air filter. A few miles(200 ish) now issues. Just recently couple of backfires. P420 shows up.
I have changed the plugs. Old ones were a nice grey. Doesn't suggest running rich.
Took it round my local garage. To test immersion. @2k revs all ok. @4k revs looks like overfueling. My sense of smell is non existent but the garage owner said the exhaust smelt a little of petrol fumes.
I could put extenders on the upstream O2 sensors.
Any other suggestions?

Speaking of Petrus - what did I miss? I haven't seen him here in a while.

From reading posts on f'book some people have 17 x 8" rims & tyres over 205.

On my car I have 15 x 7 (ET41 I think) & 195/50 X 15.  An ET35 will protrude 6mm further out.  It'll fit no problem.

Whether it'll handle better or worse.....no idea.

Nice ending to the story and it sounds like nobody was hurt, except for the MR2 🫩.

Hopefully it was repaired or broken for bits to help others live on.
