I live in Brackley and I always use Steven Eagell in Milton Keynes.
Never had any problems with them ! Always very helpful and reasonable on price when compared to other Toyota dealerships.  s:) :) s:)

Quote from: "Emmanuel"I have to admit Judas Priest help a lot but I am actually considering taking the car to Toyota.  It's their labour costs that put me off...

I reckon they would charge a minimum of 5-6 hours as the engine needs to be dropped to access the clutch...  Unless it's not the clutch per se but some part of the hydraulics.

not convinced thats true, they didn't drop mine, when the clutch and flywheel was installed, but i'll admit i dont know how they did it outside of that
I hope you're right Stu although I am not really sure how you can get access to the clutch without dropping the engine - unless the mechanic is an advanced yoga instructor in his spare time...

I'd be interested to know if anyone here knows how to gain access to the clutch without dropping the engine.  Adam or Aaron?

I reckon that would work, but my memory of the underneath of my car is a bit fuzzy at the mo.

Probably one of those jobs that's easier on ramps than with the pit, though - otherwise you need to be lifting the box off with your arms at full stretch.. If you're on your back under the car you can bench-press it out, or use your chest to rest it on*

*If you break any ribs doing that, it's not my fault -- but if I can get a Nissan auto-box off like that, I reckon ours should be a doddle to lift  s;) ;) s;)
