HI there,

My car went in for an oil change the other day and when i got my inspection back from Mr T there said that there was a slight oil leek in the Engine/Gearbox assembly, is this a major problem?

The car is using about 1 litre every 1000 miles which is claimed to be acceptable.

Cheers in advance

Don't know what they think is acceptable for an oil leak but my car has done 4k since it's last service and I haven't had to top up the oil once.
If it's under warranty - get it fixed !
If not then you could just keep checking the oil.
If it were me though I'd get it fixed as then there's nothing to worry about.

I'ds also want to be sure it wasn't burning any oil.

Would agree with the above comments from Simonp especially if under Warranty, get it sorted. Mine too has done 7k in six months and still haven't put in any oil as yet  s:lol:  s:lol:
