I only have until the 18th July before my original Toyota warranty runs out. Checked the pre cats today and they seem to be diintersgrating just slightly. Is it worth me gutting them now or waiting till July when Warranty is up. Will this invalidate waaranty on engine if it blows or just the exhaust system? I am unsure as what to do. Will; try and post some pics of pre cat state.[/img]

That's all it takes. Worst case scenario is that you keep them in while you're still under warranty and during that time your engine already wears down "enough" and when you finally realize it, you can't get it fixed under warranty anyway, cause you just run out.  s:? :? s:?

Please do take some pics.
Sure you can live without 500hp, but it\'s languishing.

If I removed them. What would it invalidate on the warranty?

I'd get a Che manifold and just do a straight swap... very pleased with mine.

probably engine and exhaust, but since half our dealers seemto think we don't have precats or thats its natural for them to breakup, I doubt in real terms they would ever realise

che manifold is another good option

Oops, missed the pics  s:oops:  s:oops:

Like everyone already said, they look just fine. No need to worry about them right now. You should see larger pieces missing or cracks through several cells when it starts to go.

Phew  s:o :o s:o  Thanks for your response guys. will keep checking them. Got 32000 miles on clock. Maybe I drive conservatively or maybe I might be a lucky one and they wont go. Anyway, they will be removed in the next 3 months, then I can enjoy the pre cat club!
