Well after the fun of running over someone on Friday as he ran out in front of me, and smashing my car and windscreen to bits (he was ok). Then discovering a dead body on Saturday. On Sunday after the windscreen was repaired my car wouldnt start. Got the RAC to start me and charge up the bat but I think its on the way out.

Can anyone recommend a good cheap source for a new battery. RAC bloke seemed to think it was a very specific MR2 battery. Help and assistance please  s:) :) s:)

You can't get hold of the mr2 battery from Halfrauds or any highstreet shop I've been in. It is very specific.

I got mine from MRT - Warranty job (they are very prone to failure if that's any concellation) cost around £70 I think.
Otherwise maybe do a search online but be careful they don't try and flog you one from an earlier 1990's MR2.

maybe try getting what model number it is and going to costco?? if it is a couple of quid more that souldn't matter as they only sell quality makes (i dont work there!!  s:wink:  s:wink:    s:lol:  s:lol:  )

mmm Costco, my local branch at Thurrock Lakeside sell the Delco brand, had probs with them in the past not holding a charge although Costco did change both under warranty I would tend to steer away from them on that now having returned two now within a year of purchase. Good price but what I suspect is that sitting on the shelf for a long time kills them, I know it shouldnt but it can!!!!!

A good point is these were low maintenance.
