Can´t start! Need help!

When I try to start the car a strange sound comes from the starter-engine:(

Can someone please listen and maybe they can tell what´s wrong?

low battery? starter motor not engaging engine by sounds of things, try wiring battery up to another car then turning over, that should start it

Stuck starter motor? is it a electrical sound ?

I had this once on my dads car and banging it with a big spanner while starting was enough to free it.

This is exactly the sound mine made when my battery lost completely all it's juice.
When it's partly down the starter will just turn over really really slowly. Once the voltage drops below a critical level - you get this noise.
Try charging or jumping the battery first.

Be warned though the batteries in the mr2 are notoriously prone to failure - if it is the battery then your likely heading down the road to needing a new one.
