SMT Gear oil change

does anyone have any experience in this? From my knowledge there seems to be a SMT oil from the Toyota brochure that comes in 1L package and our gearbox requires 3 litres. However has anyone used normal Toyota ATF for the oil change or specifically the SMT oil? My '2 has about 64,000 mileage without any gearbox oil change!
