Got a 6 disc changer at the weekend to go with the stock head unit.
Currently in the glove box but the angles are all bad etc.
Where have you guys mounted the changers and what issues have you come across please?

Mine is behind the passenger seat - no issues apart from if I forget to put the seat fully back it can slide around, however, have purchased some velcro to stick onto it to stop that.  I ran the interchanger in my last '2 like that as well.  My husband has his in the rear bin behind the passenger seat, he has no issues with that.  You will have to take out the plastics in the footwell and at the door sills to run the wiring underneath it, the excess wiring tucks in behind the footwell plastic.

Thanks for that Liz, I was concernced that the flimsy plastic of the luggage compartment wouldnt be strong enough to hold the weight of the changer.
I think the velcro idea is great as I dont want to be drilling holes and such like.

The luggage plastic isn't flimsy  s:? :? s:?  , you obviously haven't been shopping in it and stuffed it full of stuff from the supermarket!

Haha, didnt buy this car for the shopping ability I must say.
Do the pools of water in the luggage space affect the performance of the changer?

I have never had water there and I pay particular attention because I have a large amp sitting in there which I don't want to get wet!

eeeeeeeerrrrrrr, try cleaning out your drains, there should be no water in that area. The write-up on how to do it is in the how to section

To tell the truth I did clean those out on saturday when I fitted some bits and bobs, just wating for the weather to sort itself out to see if my efforts were in vain or not.

dont worry, with the british summer you'll only have to wait 5 minutes for the rain

Easy bit is done, velcro purchased and stuck to the bin behind the passenger seat.
Now I have to remove the plastics to run the cables so will keep you posted.
