Set about last night of fitting a single din head unit into my mr-s. I took out the old sony double din stereo and removed the old surround. fitted the new fascia piece of cake. came to put the black block connector into my kenwood stereo and low and behold it would not go depsite the pins appearing (to the naked eye) to match up.

So my question is do i need to by this

Is that what they normally sell for! Mine are half that price with delivery already included! That lead is only half of what you need (unless you have the other half because it came with the stereo)

The kenwood and sony plugs look very similar. Did the Kenwood stereo come with a wiring plug in the box? You have two options....

1) Get a soldering iron and crimp and do a DIY job
2) Get a Toyota to Iso (shown in the link above) and also a Iso to Kenwood adapter

If you want to save £5 then try.....
