Well im not the most technically minded person in the world when it comes to upgrades, but i've had my MR2 for a little while now and im kinda curious to know what sort of basica upgrades work well with the car.

Ideally i'd like to get around 170 - 200bhp out of it. What sort of upgrades (the more basic the better) can contribute towards these sort of numbers.

I know about the TTE kit, but i hear they're both expensive and rare?

Reliable power in the 190 range? Turbo or Supercharger (NOT cheap)

Race car reliability? cams,intake,zorst,cat,header,pistons,injectors,PowerFC with commander etc etc...so all in all about the same cost (if not more)

option 3? engine swap...again not cheap.

I've spent close to 6K on bits for mine and it makes 190 from an NA engine with rough power delivery.Powerful but not a good town car.
Just bought the turbo kit so will let you know how easy an install that is.
