Because I find it impossible to go round every corner at 70mph  s:lol:  s:lol:   s:D :D s:D

I have a pair of shoes that are pretty much the same shape as racing boots, very thin soles too.. but having size 13's is still a bit of a disadvantage  s:D :D s:D  I can't seem to consistantly either roll my foot over onto the throttle, or twist my ankle round so my heel reaches the throttle (actually, I can't do the latter at all!).. I'll figure it out eventually, I'm sure..  s:D :D s:D

oh, see what you mean, i thought you were just on about changing down when overtaking   s:? :? s:?

got in my 2 the other morning, it was slightly wet so my feet were a little slippery on the metal peddals. They've just put some humps in our estate, and as i was down changing from 2nd to 1st over the bump my foot slipped off the clutch mid-change - CRUUUUUUNCH! ouch! Tip, to avoid this happening again, have blower turned to footwell on maximum - dries them pretty sharpish!   s:wink:  s:wink:

Heh - I've not done that one in this car yet  s:) :) s:)  The worst culprit is diesel on the ground at petrol stations though - that stuff is super slippery..

I did try and put my '2 into 6th gear the other week though.

Shame it's an '02 really - that's where reverse lives.  s:oops:  s:oops:   s:oops:  s:oops:  ahem!
