RED ROADSTER.... in the flesh....

Hi,

Just seen the MR2 RED in the flesh, sable colour, with a subtle skirt kit all the way round.

The red, well more maroon roof, looks nice as a contrasting colour, I think it works well. oh a a RED badge in the same writing as Roadster on the back under the winkies (indicators).

Interior looks very nice, the picture in the brouchre isn't right, as the centre console with the heating knobs is now all silver, but unfortunately a plastic silver, not an aluminium silver (pity) but adds a nice contrast to the console, never the less.

The red leather seats looks nice and the contrasting steering wheel looks well cool, something that should have been on all models to add that bit of extra co-ordination.

Prices are approx £18,500 which isn't much more than a standard model, esp as it includes, leather, skirt kit (already painted), different colour hood and extra dash trim.

All in all a nice special edition.

Anyone looking at the celica version will be disappointed, as there are few changes to the standard car unfortunately..... s:cry: :cry: s:cry:

ok, end of review, anyone else seen or have comments on the new RED ?

I kinda liked it, thought it looked pretty good in the flesh.

Seems a little silly that the pictures in the brouchre don't reflect the real car, with skirts, etc.

certainly worth having a look at one up close.

As for Location, the Dealer is Listers of Lincoln. They don't have a celica version in, but I beleive it's not much different to the standard car, bar, leather colour, badge and wheels.

the skirts are the standard 03 optional bodykit, they aren't specific to teh red.

odd though the heater control panel being in silver.

I'm not sure, don't think it looks too bad, but don't think I'd have been swayed if I'd have had the choice (yep, it's still behind red, blue, black and silver).

Sorry - indulge me, I've just created my avatar and wanted to see it working - sad I know s:oops: :oops: s:oops:

The roof looked nice, the pictures where taken about 6pm tonight and it wasn't easy getting the angles as it was in a compound, once cleaned up and showroom prepared I'm sure it will look really nice, probably one for you all to see in the flesh.
