think the knocking noise might be terminal, gonna be dropping the sump off in the next few days and having a poke around, if it's the worst case scenario can anyone recommend an engine supplier and garage you can trust to fit it somewhere in the swindon/oxford area? cheers   s:wink: :wink: s:wink:

Suggest its probably worth to a trip to Birmingham to MattPerformance. You might find one of his reconditioned engines proves better value than a repair.
