no no no, you dont want metal dust caps, think of the extra unsprung weight!! it will knock at least 0.000035 secs of your 0-60! stick to plastic ones!

You can counteract that with some helium balloons under the bonnet.

I got my spin caps today (the xl ones), and i'm not sure about them, they don't seem to go on enough, thus making the valve stem look massive and in a different colour metal than the alloy it stands out even more.

I got both to see how they look, but the sillycar has a horrid black plastic bit exposed, so I want to use the XL to cover it....they are totally different colour though to the alloys (the caps are nickel plated), but it should look better than black caps....we will see.!

Just been out, have to agree with you, the XL ones look weird (well they do on my ride). The smaller ones which are just caps look OK.

So, anyone want to buy a set of XL's for theirs....honestly they are brilliant, will look the business on your motor s:lol: :lol: s:lol:

I think I'll get some of these as some scamp nicked my chrome caps today.... never mind they lasted a whole three days. s:x :x s:x

I must admit when I was a lad I stole the odd black plastic one, cause you could do loud whistles in them to call your mates. But what are kids doing with the chrome ones nowadays - putting them on the bikes to make them look more Bling Bling?

My brother I think has the world record "minimum dust cap to wheel ratio" on his old Elise, of approx 6 hours...

He did used to go through the wars though as his Lotus nose badge was popped off and nicked 3 times too. He didn't bother putting the fourth one on till he sold the car. They were costing 80 smackers every time!

My car was parked up on a camp site in Devon for three days/nights (god was I worried! s:? :? s:? s:roll: :roll: s:roll: ). Lots of kids around, and four valve caps still on when I left yesterday. Seems these little beauties might be the Holy Grail...

You can order them from the website though, they are very quick from the US - no customs charges
