I have bought some stuff from the local plumbers merchant but the manufacturers don't make anything big enough so it doesn't fit properly.

The piping is 2inch width.  Where can I get something that will completely shroud the bars?  I keep bruising my head   s:( :( s:(

If they do it in grey that would be a bonus!

There's a place near where I work called Specialist Insulation Services: if I get a chance tomorrow I can pop in there and see if they can get you something.

If you want to ring up a place closer to you, the stuff you're after is called Clima-flex.

When I needed some padding for the roll bar on the Caterham, I bought some super stuff made by Safety Devices specifically for the task.  It was very dense black, pre-shaped foam, and was incredible at stopping headaches!!

Normal pipe insullation foam is quite open-cell and does not offer the same level of protection and is very bulky.

Not sure if it is still available, but you could try suppliers such as Demon Tweeks or SD direct.

It also looks much neater!

I'll try demon tweeks but I bet they charge through the roof.  I only paid a quid for 2 metres of the insulation, but then I suppose you get piece of mind from using the proper stuff.

Thanks
