I've got one from 2002 and it sucks. So it needs to be replaced. What have you got in yours? Photos?

Sorry for the bad quality picture ... and the lack of hoovering.
Ezekiel 23:20 "There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses"

I bought a "Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Machine" to lose weight. I put on five stone. I blame the delicious gravy it makes.

I've got a JVC KW-XR811. It's so easy to fit in, using the brackets that came with the car, they just screw into the stereo. It's Bluetooth, you get a remote, mp3, two USB inputs, aux in, cd changer compatable, if you've got iPhone/android you can make receive calls without hands and play music from your phone to the hu, and displays phonebook on the hu screen, Change the lights on it to match your trim! And the best part. It cost £72 delivered off eBay and I've seen them go for £60-£80 and there in my opinion one of the best on the market!

This one is cool too. I like the lights that will change.

No, no part of the front comes off.

Sweet. Loving the red.

they do look sweet! Watching some on the bay. The JVC KW-XR411 seems to be lower spec model, but a  few of them for sale. Hopefully it fit's in just as nice.

If your budget goes further than the others not knocking the alpine as I got one in my van and it is excellent. In all my 10 years of driving and always fitting multiple headunits I have never had one as good as the one in my signature. The Kenwood dnx range is by far the best, but does have the price tag to go with it.

Pioneer DEH-4400BT

(The reds are much deeper in real life)

I much prefer the single DIN. Firstly, you can remove the fascia. Secondly, you get space underneath for a phone/wallet/whatever. Thirdly, they tend to be cheaper. IMHO Double DIN seem pointless unless you are using a full screen display for Sat-Nav/DVD/Multimedia applications.

The stereo sounds great, hooks up via usb to pretty much anything including Android and iOS devices. The same can be said for the bluetooth function, works great for music streaming and voice calls. I love just getting into the car turning the engine on and music to stream exactly where i left it off before, without having to connect any wires.

Any more info give me a shout.

Have you blanked off the space created by a shorter head unit? Looks nice. I'm going for a red theme with my 2

Thanks mate! No I haven't, the space below is where the bigger unit should be. The caddy gave a nice 'slot' to put stuff in.

Brian, this looks great. Could you give us the name of the seller please?

Did you have to get any sort of additional loom to convert the wiring?

One more question - are you running stock speakers?

brianorme1986

CBF, it was just an auction my friend! however ive seen them go from £50 to £80, just gotta fall lucky like i did pal!

And yes i am running just standard stock speakers, but you do notice a better sound using this HU than the stock Sony one i had in! any other questions i will be glad to help you!!

Ace! Well, fingers crossed! Will keep my eyes open. That one looks great value for what it does.

I'm happy with the stock speakers for now, just want to be able to play MP3s and be able to make calls. Spec seems very high, considering!

Waiting for the sub-box group buy to come in, then can start to look at new speakers, too...

Cheers
