Hi guys,

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_194445_langId_-1_categoryId_165622

I'm going to try this aerial as mine has never worked properly. I have it wired correctly, and I have checked the voltage. It's only £3.19 so even if it doesn't work it costs less than a pint of Guinness so no big worry on that front!

Before removing the wheel etc to look at the workings of the stock aerial I'm putting this in to hopefully save some work and try and find an alternative to the 'remote controlled car' look!

Has anyone any experience fitting one of these, or suggestions on the best place to mount?

Many thanks

Rob

When I updated my audio install had it done by a professional installer and any make of smaller sized aerial wont give an acceptable signal, you may get ok reception in cities with a stronger signal but out in the sticks it will drop out

Option are a switch it retract it when using audio imput other than radio or a full DAB upgrade

Thanks Bernie, I still think I'll give it a go as 95% of my driving is in the city. My other alternative is just using the BBC radio app for the iPhone. It's just as hassle though.

I've got the aerial. Plugged it in without connecting it to the electrics. Seems to work ok on FM signals. I'll connect it to the electrics when my mate is back from holiday. That's if I can find somewhere to hide it!
