You can get dash cams on ebay for not much money. Usually have a few hours record time then just wipe it and start again. Alternatively why not just mount your phone on a windscreen mount and video record your journey.  That way it wont cost a penny for a camera and if you happen to see something funny on your travels you can earn £250 on you've been framed  s:) :) s:)

As Danny says you can get relatively good small cameras off eBay for next to nothing. Whilst these are a good idea and will show if someone is at fault for an incident, remember if you get pulled by the police they will also have evident of your driving which they could use against you. I've heard of bikers getting done by their own video footage. Obviously this won't be an issue for us 2 drivers as we drive like saints  s;) ;) s;)

Depends if you want full data like GPS position and Speed.
Personally i prefer to keep those details to myself but I use a camera I got off eBay (with the mics turned off)  m http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121093876067? ... 1423.l2649 m  it has come in handy for two accidents I've witnessed.

Amazon sell something similar  m http://www.amazon.co.uk/Display-Camera- ... car+camera m

I've found that I can get a couple of days driving on a single 32GB card, and the camera over-writes the old footage so basically records in continuous loop.

Roadhawk have a good reputation  m http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_nos ... 3Aroadhawk m  but is obviously more feature rich, and is probably better quality due to the reassuring price tag.
