Hi
I am in the process of replacing my car stereo unit for a DAB enabled Pioneer unit. I keep reading mixed reports on aerials and wether or not the windscreen versions work well or not. The alternative which seems preferable of a roof mounted type is not an option on a soft top unless it would work reasonably well attached on the boot. Has anyone got any experiece of both types? I don't want to suffer constant dropouts.
Thanks
Daryl

fitted loads of these for customers in my old job - rigid roof mounts were ugly but worked - t-bar windscreen ones were rubbish and had lots of interference, and glass film ones were the best - as long as fitted properly (i.e min 150mm from top of window, and earth strap attached to a-pillar (metal frame) and ignition supply from behind radio.

Although I have fitted all 3 into various cars, I would only personally recommend the glass film by autoleads

Hope this helps

+1, I have the Autoleads glass aerial which seems to work well.

Have now fitted the screen aerial.
Had problems removing the trim around the A frame.
The reception is good most places so far. Drops out near my house where we have really bad mobile reception - so no surprises there. When the reception is good the broadcast sound is excellent!
Thanks for the input
