At long last after talking to people on here and spyder chat and then eventually going for a test drive on monday I have finally ordered my new mr2

I went for brand new 54 reg in metalic blue, with hardtop leather and air con.

Bad news is that i have to wait for september to pick up the car. August is going to be a very very long month!!! ha haha

thanks for everyones advice and assistance throughout the last couple of weeks.

They are?

All I'd heard was that Toyota US were going to stop selling them.. I'd not read anything about Toyota Japan ceasing production - where did you see that? (intrigued..)

There is an article in this weeks Auto Express stating that both the MR2 and Celica will stop production within the next two years!

Time to put on the black arm bands!!!

Ahh.. Still, I suppose that's a 7 year run, which isn't bad by todays standards..

Anyhoo.. best we get back on topic I suppose, lest the mods beat us with their sticks  s:) :) s:)

Well I'm not too upset about that.

It will mean the 2 will remain quite rare on the road, even in 10 years time it is still going to look good and instead of wasting money on a new car with the depreciation charge, I can spend the money improving the 2, a turbocharger maybe, or perhaps someone will have a supercharger kit by then.

They will probably do some nice special editions near the end of the run; time to upate in a couple of years then  s:wink:  s:wink:

Yeah, maybe I can get the 220bhp version then...now that would be nice!
