I've double checked with Kevin and he doesn't weld sensor bungs in to the swap manifold, he did have one which did have bungs but that was specially ordered (which the buyer then never paid for)

He will do what ever you ask though, to be fair!

Had a reply from Kevin at Zero..... (Lead time is around 2 weeks)

Yes I make the 2zz engine swap header as well. It looks the same as the 1zz on my website apart from the head flange is different and there are no lambda bosses in it. Neither the 1zz or the 2zz come with a heat shield now.

Both are the price stated on the web site plus shipping and vat.

Best regards,
Kevin

Great news....I now have a 2zz from a celica to put in my Mr2!

I wasn't really ready, but it is a very generous offer from a fellow member and couldn't really say no. Plus he is helping me out with timing etc so huge thanks Miles  s:D :D s:D

Patrick (Headcase) is going to help me get the engine in the car so hopefully I'll be 2zz powered this summer!

Going to have an Elise Parts sump & flywheel and some other maintenance bits done to the engine before its in, just for piece of mind.

Can't bloomin wait!!

Bought lots of service parts today to give the engine a clean bill of heath before fitting;

- Spark plugs
- Water pump
- Thermostat
- Poly belt (removing aircon)
- Timing chain kit
- Elise parts baffled sump
- Elise parts lightened flywheel
- ARP flywheel bolts
- Exedy Clutch Kit
- Patrick is supplying new oil pump gears and will do lift bolts and obviously oil change.

My credit card is literally smoking! Not looking forward to paying that bill when I come back from holiday  s:D :D s:D   s:D :D s:D

I got both of the front brakes fitted and bled today, I had much bigger plans but had to do the rear brakes on my bmw so lost a couple of hours this morning.

I then moved onto the rear brakes and had a disaster! The thread on the passenger side caliper carrier has gone, so I need a new carrier / slider and bolts  s:( :( s:(

Wanted section here I come!  s:( :( s:(

Very happy with the Wilwood kit though, can't wait to try them

I've had the Rota's a while they are 16s and I run 205/45/16 front and 225/40/16 rear. AD08r tyres.

I need new rear tyre and in two minds... Pair of AD08r again or all 4 R888 but the issue with R888 on 16s is I'd have to drop down some width sizes.

With the sun out yesterday, working on the car I think I'm having a change of heart and will get it MoT / taxed / insured this year; being able to take it out on a nice sunny day is quite appealing!

And also for bedding in brakes, checking things out etc it will be handy.

All the parts (minus the oil pump gears and oil filter) ready to take to Patrick at the weekend

Plus of course the gearbox I bought a few weeks back. Also hoping to pick up a loom on Saturday morning which will mean Patrick can get everything ready for the car upfront  s:) :) s:)
