Hello! New forum user

Hi there!

I finally signed up to the forum (been promising myself for ages). Had the MR2 from new (bought it from Listers Coventry) in 2002. Since then its racked up 54K miles commuting from Redditch to Milton Keynes almost on a daily basis. The alloys and suspension bushes are the only items that have been replaced (so far) under warranty and were dealt with painlessly by the dealer. The car has had routine servicing. Just replaced with the 2nd set of tyres (every 27K - to the tread markers) some more Yoko Advan A043's.

My girlfriend & I have decided to use the car as a w/e & fun transport now. We had looked at buying a TT150, but the MR2 is just too good a drive to compared with the entry level TT and the p/x was so lousy that it didn't make financial sense.

I signed up to chat about possible modifications to the MR2 and other problem areas to get rectified prior to the warranty expiring in 6 months.

As for mods to start off with - if you have a search around (fairly recently) there was a thread with 'good mods to start with' listed in it s:)

On the 'what to do after the warranty' - that one's easy.. Ditch the pre-CATs s;)

s;) (Either by gutting or replacing with a TRD header if you want to spend lots of cash..)

Welcome.. the S3 sounds pretty nice also..i've always liked them, much bettter than a TT IMO

I'll take a look around at the pre-cat problem kind of sounds serious and expensive if it occurs.

@Floater - Our MR2 is on a private S reg plate, in silver. Fairly clean since I've claybar'd & meguiar'd it. Even the metal exhaust tip is shiny! s8)
