I'd got onspired by an former memder who made also an eclosure like this.

I'd stil had some wood left here, so I took my saw and began creating.

It fits like an dream!

I stil need to saw the round for the sub fitting, and glue it further together.

I'm going to use an JBL gto 10" sub, because I recently replaced my door speakers from JBL power line also to gto, and also using gto amps.
I know the power line door speaker were much more powerful, but they were overloaded, and sounded like crap.

Fantastic job, are you able to share the dimensions as I'm after making a similar enclosure
Another one won't hurt  .....

Very nice fit, and that top section braces up the top of box nicely.
I wouldn't mind the dimensions either, because we're also thinking about maybe doing exactly the same thing one day.

Very near work on the enclosure, what thickness MDF are you using? It looks huge!!

It's 18 mm thick, its the illusion of the flash I think.

The front plate is 55.5x 33.5 cm, the box itself is around 42x29x29 cm so not really big. I could add some room downwards, but underneath the box is my amp fitted.

It gets too hot around here to conceal an amp like that, I don't know if it would be an issue for you?
If you did make the box bigger underneath instead, it will also provide some extra rigidity/bracing, the only thing left would be to brace the rear panel to the woofer magnet.
If I was going to install an amp i'd put it vertically in the frunk beside the spare, which would help counter the box weight. If it gets hot it would be easy to either remove the plastic frunk lid or provide a bit of air ducting. I'm tempted to relocate the battery to the front as well.

I made a custom box enclosure to go there but i utilised all of the space.

have you read the manual and measured the box to see if you have the right volume (size) box? as mine was quite tight and thats using all the space underneath - just check it  s:D :D s:D

At least it looks like you can get yours out again.. mine's stuck in for life now

Also you may find the woofer fouling on the top of the box... (where the stairs are  s:P :P s:P  )

Now everything is installed. I placed the sub and amp, changed the door speakers with all thicker wiring. It sounds real nice, good bass and nothing making noise by the fibrationt of the sub.

I only need an other radio, now I'm using an old sony with usb bluetooth, but it does not support al the files. I also have an double din pioneer with usb bluetooth, but don't want an double din. I also have an single din pioneer with usb bluetooth, but to use the usb, I have to use an special cable from the back, and I lost the cable and rather have an usb on the front. Any suggestions? I don't want to spend more than 85 pound on it, and only need Usb in front an bluetooth.

Nice work, looks awesome.

If you're happy with your current sony bluetooth head unit, then you could just convert any incompatible files?
