Right then,

I eventually saved up the money needed and replaced me heavily worn stock tyres (Yoko's) on the MR2.

I went to a company in Ashford (Kent) called TyreWeb who quoted the bext price for me.

I was VERY impressed by their service. Let me start by saying MrT checked the tracking on my car last month and it was fine, TyreWeb offered a free check so i got that done as well.

They had the car for about 2 hours but it was worth it.

These tyres are different to the Pilot Sports which i have on the rear (replaced at the same time) but have been designed for applications such as ours to compliment them.

A review can be found here:

The initial grip seems to be much better, they do squeal a little bit (both sets) but then they are only 100 miles old.

I also think that they grip better, are quieter and seem nice and progressive.

When they adjusted the tracking on the car they found it was 5mm yes 5mm out, the car is now no longer a battle to drive its a beauty....oh how i love my car and these new tyres.

How are these tyres after a year of usage? Are you still happy?

In the dry they were FANTASTIC, better than the T1's but in the wet they were pretty dire

I think its because they were a mix, all be it a reccomended one with almost identical tyre tread patterns they were still a mix.

Would i do it again?

If i could get the pilot sports all round then hell yeah, they are a good tyre.

They also wore pretty well - lasted about 15K which for me and my style of driving is pretty good, the original Yoko's lasted about 8k IIRC

Are you still in Brighton then matey?
