I've done my best to not go mad as I've said a few times and enjoy it stage by stage and not buy most of it in one go but I do slip and buy big I see a good deal

Just gonna get some bracing on before the next one instead of if being in my house

Debating exhausts right now as the aweful ones it came with have been on far to long

I had mongoose on my old mk2 back in the day but cobra seems to be popular now and I need it to pass track noise restrictions so both mental
I've just watched a cobra video 80db looks good to me

Think the cobra is usually recorded more like 94db trying to find the thread where people put there db with different exhausts.

Cobra is definitely more than 80db. Looking at over 90db. Mine with markii pipe, decatted and cobra quad exit was 95 iirc.

Cobra are properly loud imho. Turbo would quiet it down nicely though.

I have mislead myself the past week and even been to see a replacement for this I doubt I will but there's a small chance the mr2 might need a new home

A family friend has an old mg midget minty condition and has offered it to me.
Also I went to see an evo
Now I'm weighing it all up because I know the grass isn't always greener on the other side

Very different options there.
I'm not a fan of classic sports cars, unless its to look at, so the MG wouldn't do it for me.
What's the mpg of an evo driven in anger? Can't be good.
Do you just want a change or is the 2 not fulfilling your requirements?

If ingest the evo it will replace the mr2 and in anger like 9mpg
I'll do the pros and cons and see where I land
The mr2 is fine right now and I enjoy it but I will consider my options

The evo and mr2 are very different cars, in every way possible.

Have you considered spending the extra money on making the mr2 a little more serious - IE power, suspension etc

Hi Steve,
Sorry to hear that you are thinking of selling the MR2, I was looking forward to seeing it in anger.

For what it is worth tread carefully with the Midget, before I bought the Roadster an MG was on the list but ultimately the cost of a really good one and a bad experience of previously owning one put me off. I still love them but the memory of the dreaded tin worm sends a shiver down my spine.

If you do fancy the MG make sure you get underneath it for a good look.

The mr2 will be angry on the 26th of this month haha

The mg wouldn't be good for me as you say rust is a killer and I have the time to spend on it to make sure it doesn't happen.
I do love my mr2 but 3 cars would be silly and if I get another car it would be the mr2 that gets the chop not the Subaru i have

So sat down and did the maths and I think my moment of weakness has passed for now so time to do a few little thinks before my second outing to pembrey a week on Sunday
See if I can get a bit more weight out and fit my under brace then take it by the scruff and see if I can upset a few more bigger cars again
