Yep. Cool and damp makes for more power and a smoother drive, it was very noticable this morning  s:) :) s:)

had a good run home from Cornwall on Monday and i have to say i actually noticed a difference on the trip, in Cornwall where it was markedly cooler, she just seemed to jump forward at much faster time than when we neared home in Surrey. i have to say until now i doubted how noticable this would be, but it definatley was. So amen to cold air

Sure you can live without 500hp, but it\'s languishing.

how much is the Aquamist system, i know Perry has one and so does a mate of mine, but i thought they were only used on turbo'ed cars like theirs

They can be used in N/A applications, although not quite as effective. They are triggered by a user set pressure in the intake, so would be active under higher loads.

As for cost, the basic system (minus reservoir) is around £350 IIRC

Yeah, they don't do miracles in N/A...but just about the difference you feel on hot dry summerday/cold damp mornings  s8) 8) s8)

Indeed, not that hard to construct - just one thing to be very careful of is not to inject too much water.. I remember one home made setup I saw that was injecting so much water that upon disassembly the bores were pristine - it'd been steam cleaning his engine from the inside out..

Shame it also grenaded the engine  s:) :) s:)

Can't beat a nice fully 3D mappable setup from ERL though  s;) ;) s;)  (Possibly a bit overkill on an N/A mind  s:) :) s:) )
