Is there a set time to wait for the softop to dry before putting the hardtop on or should it just look and feel dry?

I don't want a mouldy hood next spring!

I just clean it, chamois the water off and stck the top on - it's worked for two years so far with no mould or staining problems.

As Sean said. Don't forget, the folded top sits on top of a very hot engine and the cabin's heaters will be blowing hot air throughout the winter. The folded top will get very dry.  s:wink:  s:wink:

If you're worried about it, and have access to a garage or somewhere dry, you can always (carefully) use a hairdryer to dry the soft top before putting the hard top on.

Just make sure there is no moisture under the flap around the rear windscreen. I washed the car and put the soft top down with a bit of residual moisture in there, and when I put the soft top back up, it was a bit wrinkly for a couple of days, but it eventually flattened out again.
