Hi all
  s:lol:  s:lol:
I am a new member to This forum though I have been searching some topics on and off.
I own a 2002 mrs Japan import and thanks to all of you I have done or am planning some mods.
POSTERT CHROME INTAKES
DAVID STYLE BARS (Will arrive this week)
REMUS EXHAUST (ORDERED THIS WEEK)
HEADLIGHT PAINTING (WAITING FOR A SPELL OF BAD WEATHER)

However I have a Problem. I am very keen on installing an interior package from ISOTTA comprising chrome and seat matching leather steering wheel, handbrake and gear shift. Isotta say that they cannot supply a steering hub for an mr2 with airbag.
Thanks again to all of you for creating a super forum

On this forum I have seen a pic of an Isotta steering fitted to an MR2.

Can anybody help me out with this as I have no idea what to do?   s:oops:  s:oops:
I will post some pics when everything goes back together.

I thought about doing a group buy on these a while back, however you would need to send a steering wheel to Isotta, for them to make a mould, it was just a lot of hassle and there weren't enough people to make it viable.

AFAIK no-one in the club has a Isotta wheel cover, not even the 'Yaris' wheel advertised on the website will fit.  The coloured wheels you have seen are probably sprayed.

Its exactly the same wheel, same size etc, only difference is that where the dimples end in ours and the smooth leather is black in the YTS its silver leather...looks really nice am unsure about getting one from a scrappies though because not sure about 2nd hand airbags in a crashed car   s:? :? s:?

You mean this one?

Looks very similar, I'd be surprised if Toyota would go to the trouble of making another one so much like it specifically for the MR2

I've thought about asking parts if you can buy a Roadster Red wheel..

Airbag is a seperate part of the wheel, you can put your original one in...  and besides, they're based around very simple and reliable principles that mean if you pull one out of a crashed car that hasnt gone off, 99.999% of the time its because it wasnt meant to go off, not because it failed... The airbag is probably the most reliable part on your car, purely because it has the power to kill you if it goes wrong.  Punters will put up with all manner of trivial and annoying faults, such as creaky steering, duff cats, imploding engines etc., But you can pretty much kiss brand loyalty goodbye if a customer gets a small bomb going off in his face when he slams the the drivers door or thumps the horn to hard...
