Hi guys just wanted to share a very positive experience I have had when taking a gamble on a new head unit so that you don't need to take a gamble.
I just purchased one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/221727260198?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
It was a bit of a gamble as I had just gone through the pain of replacing the electric aerial, the previous one someone had "repaired" so I couldn't just change the mast.

Well I couldn't be happier.
Fitting - Pretty straight forward, lots of guides around for removal of old, brackets from old fit straight on. The head unit sticks forward about 0.7cm more than old but looks fine. Also make sure you purchase the Toyota MR2 to ISO wiring harness convertor.
Aerial - It drives the electric aerial perfectly
Function
Bluetooth - I fitted the optional external MIC and ran the lead up behind the heat control panel (that you take off anyway to access the head unit mounts). The lead pokes out from behind that to the mic which is fixed just above the little coin box. Made a few calls with the roof off and works perfectly. The Bluetooth work flawlessly for making and receiving calls and the Bluetooth music streaming from the phone is great also. A nice feature is the default home screen has a clock and the weather widget. When streaming Bluetooth music the weather widget becomes the Bluetooth music control widget so you can play/pause, skip back a track, skip forward a track.
Radio - The radio works great with the stock electric aerial. Tuning is easy and as the radio picks up the RDS signal for each stored station, the buttons to select each station change from the frequency number to the station name. A nice touch.
GPS - The unit comes with I-Go navigation software which I tested and is up to date and accurate, possible not as good as TomTom but still very good. Because it's android the unit also have Google Maps which is great also but you need to plan your route while connected to your home wireless or phone hotspot as it needs an Internet connection initially and ongoing if you divert or want traffic. I ran the GPS aerial cable up above the drivers footwell, up the inside of the dashboard trim that faces the drivers door (RHD UK spec) and out onto the top of the dashboard in the right hand corner so only about 2cm of cable showing.

I have not yet tried the CD/DVD or the reversing camera and the PVR camera so cannot comment.
Google Play store works great, I installed Hungry Shark as a test, works great. Email also works great when connected to a network (3g/Wireless).

All in all I am really pleased and everything works perfectly so far.

Thanks man, it really was. I am loving the device and I now connect my phone to it via USB (for charging) and run a hotspot on the phone. The phone has 4G, the stereo connects to the phone over wireless and hey presto i'm online without having to get a second contract or 3g/4g dongle. All is good. Forgot to mention I ran the two usb leads out the unit into the back of the glove box. Great for playing music from a USB hard drive or charging the phone.

Hi, is it still going strong?
Have you connected to a ELM327 OBDII device, to display engine parameters, they say it works, just wondered if you tried it. If so, can you play music/radio at the same time as displaying OBD info?
