hey up
I have a Toyota branded h/u, 85506 in 2003 f/l. I am looking at putting rear speakers in the bin doors, but not got the faintest idea how to do it.
are there any sockets in the h/u, I that i can use. if so, what are they? or better still, amp them up. I am rubbish with electrickery, so please be gentle with me.

Why would you even do that?

Do you carry passengers in the back often?

Amplify the fronts. That's 90% of your improvements right there.

Hmm i am going to disagree a little joe. I didn't build the sound system in the sable bit the rear bin speakers are great, they add sound and base. Its an additional dimension.

I'm going to agree with JC, spend your monies and time on your front speakers and deadening, subwoofer if you can (mine is a Pioneer TS-WX120A under the dash) and forget the rear...

...except if you're not spending any money, and have already got the rear speakers? Then I guess it's better than nothing...
